Spinka Rov

I was zoche to spend some time this weekend with the Spinka Rov. He is the Rebbuha's son from Yerushalayim. It was quite an experience. I will be sharing dvrai Torah soon. But first, he related to us that Hashem does kindness to us always. If we are good or bad, thankful or unthankful we get plenty from him. I said "Der abeshter feert da velt" (Hashem runs the world). He told me if you believe this, then you will see it.

I think the rav was saying that our perception of reality and the outcome of our reality is based on beleif. If our belief is strong we will withstand the struggles and not take the good for granted. I think it is a good message. Its roots are in chassidic thought. And I will discuss it in another post. Bottom Line: Seeing is not beleiving rather believing is seeing.

What the rebbe said was contained in many chassidic and non chassidic sources. The issues of emunah and bitachon are discussed in the writings of the chazon Ish and mechtav meliyahu. So, you have written off many Torah giants with your comment. I assume you don't really understand what are saying. I suggest you learn more about emunah and bitachon. Perhaps, for your benifit, I will elaborate on the subject in a future blog. Kol Tuv.
